Welcome to the website of the Bondi Surf Bathers Life Saving Club. Officially recognised as the world's first surf lifesaving club we have had a long and proud history.  Bondi members invented the surf reel and many other icons of lifesaving and has had the largest rescue ever on a single day - "Black Sunday"

Because Bondi is one of the best known beaches in Australia, the number of visitors each year create a range of lifesaving situations - from water and rock rescue to beach accidents and normal medical crises.  We draw on sophisticated support from offshore rescue vessels, helicopters, ambulance and police rescue.

The club has over 1000 members with approx. 260 active volunteer lifesavers and a large nipper (junior level) community.  Bondi finances itself from fundraising, sponsorship, and community & government support.

Club members are encouraged to join this website by clicking on the  "Click To Join" button at the top of this page.  Membership payments can now be made, securely, 'on line'.  Please insert all your personal details, including email address, and you will receive notification of activities and updates regularly through the 'Bondi Surfer' club email.
